Bernadine "Bernie" A. (Thomasefski) Hrivnak

Bernadine “Bernie” A. (Thomasefski) Hrivnak, 76, of Swoyersville, passed away Friday, February 10, at Gardens of Wyoming Valley, formerly Golden Living Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Swoyersville on June 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Lillian (Anskie) Thomasefski.

Prior to retiring, Bernie spent many years as a seamstress at Carmen Dress, Luzerne.

Bernie enjoyed shopping at Boscov’s and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hrivnak in 1993.

She is survived by daughter, Carol Fox and Companion, Daniel Doty; grandchildren, Thomas Fox, Jr. and wife, Christina, Heather Fox and fiancee, John Bieble, Jr. and Michael Fox; and 10 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends on Railroad street for being there for Bernie and AseraCare Hospice and Golden Living Center for the excellent care they provide.

Arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
