Tawana K. Jones, 59, of Hanover Township, went home to the Lord on Friday, November 20, at The Gardens of Wyoming Valley.
Born on January 11, 1961, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the James and Loretta (Coleman) Jones, Sr. She was raised by her grandmother, Rosalee (Walker) Jones.
She was a member of the Salvation Christian Church, Wilkes-Barre. Tawana loved reading and attending Bible study class. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Tawana was preceded in death by her infant brother, Troy, nephews, Kenneth Chamberlain, Jr. and Calil.
Surviving is her loving daughter, Danielle Campbell Avila, and her husband, Samuel, five grandchildren,
Orion Delgado Campbell, Ben Delgado Campbell, Misael Avila, Elliot Avila and Lennox Avila, five sisters, Theresa Chamberlain., Nikia Webb, Alicia Davis, Sandra Lewis and Tracey Lewis, four brothers, James Jones, Jr., Kevin, Gregory and Henry Lewis, brother in law, Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., several nieces and nephews.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services were entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
