Ms. Patricia (Pati) Glynn, 70, of Fellows Avenue, Hanover Township, PA passed away peacefully at home after a three year battle with idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Pati was courageous, forever optimistic yet private throughout her illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Pati was born in North Hampstead, N.Y., on June 17, 1953, a daughter of the late John Glynn and Elizabeth (Glynn) McNeil. She was a 1971 graduate of Meyers High School. Pati retired from the Department of Environmental Protection after 25 years of service as a Clerk Typist. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
Everyone who touched her life meant the world to her. She was so proud of her family and loved them so much. Our wish was that everyone had the opportunity to know her because she was such a caring, selfless, loving and giving person who will be deeply and sadly missed by all. For her family, she could never be replaced. Pati was a gift who taught us all daily to find strength and the power to go on.
Our hearts are heavy today, but we wouldn’t trade the days we got to spend with Pati for anything except maybe a million more.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Belusko.
Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer Hagler, Hanover Township, PA; son, Shad Glynn and his wife, Joann Glynn, Ashley Township, PA; two grandsons, Jarrell Hagler and Jordan Hagler, Las Vegas, NV; brothers, John Glynn and his wife, Bobbie, Bloomsburg, PA; Martin McNeil and his wife, Debbie, Glade Valley, NC; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family extends its deepest appreciation to Dr. Gordon, Temple Lung Center and Dr. Sharma, Pulmonologist at Geisinger Medical Center and the nursing staff of Compassus Hospice for the dedication and compassion shown to Pati and her family throughout her illness.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to www.hhelpfoundation.org. This donation will touch the lives of hospice patients at a critical time by helping to fund life-improving comforts.
