Patricia Kazimer Lewis, 72, Hanover Township, passed away Friday, November 20 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born on December 27, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Jeanette (Swatski) Kazimer.
Patricia “Pat” was a 1965 graduate of Wilkes-Barre GAR High School. She worked for the U.S. Civil Service Commission before leaving the workforce to raise four children. Pat later earned several degrees from Luzerne County Community College, including degrees in Word Processing, Office Management Technology, and Medical Transcription, achieving the rank of sum cum laude. She was a member of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas B. Lewis, Jr., Hanover Twp.; loving son Thomas B. Lewis III, and his wife, Mary Andrea Lewis, Kaiserslautern, Germany; daughters Kathleen Klein, Hanover Twp.; Christine Keen wife of Greg, Visalia, CA; and Patricia Lapallo wife of David, Wilkes- Barre; six grandchildren, Kaleigh and Collin Klein, Alexandra and Andrew Keen, David Lapallo Jr.,and Luisa Lewis; sister, Julie Kazimer, Wilkes-Barre; and her best friend Judith Shutt.
Pat lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel, having visited all 50 states, every U.S. National Park, and 17 countries. She also enjoyed good wine and food, had a passion for dancing, and was always quick to laugh. Pat was warm, loving, accepting, and always there to lend an ear. But most of all she will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
