Michael A. LeLack, 76, of Avoca, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.
Born in Duryea on June 12, 1946, he was a son of the late John and Amelia (Baclawski) LeLack. Michael graduated from Penn State University with an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering and was employed by Penn Dot as Director of Quality Assurance in Harrisburg.
He was a member of the former Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Avoca. Michael was an active member of the Lion’s Club and during the years served as President of the Duryea Club, District Governor of District 14-W, and Pennsylvania State Council Chairman. He was a Penn State football fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He cherished spending time with his family, and was always the life of every family event. His greatest achievement was being “Grandpa" to 3 grandsons who he loved more than anything.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Susan (Bryk) LeLack; daughter, Paris LeLack-Zupancic and husband, James; son, Michael Jason LeLack; grandchildren, Michael Patrick and Mason Alexander LeLack and Connor Zupancic; brother, Kevin LeLack and many loving brothers/sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date for his family and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Avoca.
