Megan Kinsman Obituary

Megan Lee Kinsman passed away September 20, 2022 at her home in Denver.  She was 57.  Megan was the daughter of Dr. Robert and Eleanor Aston Kinsman of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

 She was born in Boulder, and grew up among many friends in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver.  She attended pre-school at Montview Presbyterian Church, Park Hill Elementary School, Gove Jr High School and East High School.  She earned a degree at CU Boulder and worked at the law firm of Holme Roberts and Owen and at Kinross Gold with their in house counsel Martin Litt. 

Megan was the sister of Jon Christopher Kinsman, a lawyer at Davis Graham & Stubbs.  Megan is survived and missed greatly by her many long standing friends, colleagues and extended family including nieces and nephew – Cierra, Alexa and Dylan.  Megan made friends easily, had a great love for nature and for creatures great and small.  

The funeral service will be held Monday morning at 10:00 AM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit Sunday from 10:00 AM – 12:00PM at the funeral home. 

 In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to one of her favorite places – The Wild Animal Sanctuary – www.wildanimalsanctuary.org.   Visit when you can.  Denver friends will be invited to an open house to celebrate Megan later in October; to be announced.
