Marvin Wilson of Hanover Township, Pennsylvania gained his wings on November 5, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Marvin was born on June 24, 1976 in Pahokee, Florida. He moved to northeastern Pennsylvania as a young child, where he lived the rest of his days.
Marvin graduated from E.L. Meyers High School where he was a standout football player. He continued playing football at Lackawanna Junior College and several years with semi-pro football teams.
Marvin was a beloved and well-known local artist who blessed so many with his hundreds of paintings, murals and portraits.
Marvin was adored by all who knew him. He was kind, caring and funny and talented. He was an avid reader and loved sharing fascinating theories with his family and friends. Marvin loved to travel and the highlight of his life was family vacations. His winning smile and personality lit up every room Marvin entered.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Elizabeth, and nephew Raymond Jr.
Marvin is survived by his wife Heather, son Jamie, daughters Jada and Jia, grandsons Rylan and Greyson, mother-in-law Lynn, brothers John (Kim) and Bernard Jr., sisters Lenora, Marion, Cynthia, Susan, Yvette, Michelle and Jasmine, sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Peter, Derek, aunts Josephine and Ella Rene, uncle Harry, nieces and nephews Amber, Ryan, Aria, Avery, Xavier, Kaidence and Harley. Marvin will be sorely missed by his numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 3:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be Reverend Shawn Walker.
Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
