Lanee L. Keatts, 54, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Geisinger Danville Medical Center.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 23, 1966, she was a daughter of Maynard Keatts and Ernestine (Flakes) Jones.
Lanee attended G.A.R. Memorial High School. From a young age, she had a passion for art that few people knew about. She also loved music and especially enjoyed singing along with her favorite artist, Chaka Khan.
Lanee was a very compassionate and loving person with a huge heart and she was always willing to help anyone in need. She had a personality that could light up a room as soon as she entered it. She had a laugh and smile so beautiful it gave you happiness. Lanee will be remembered for her love of animals and the unique ways she was able to train them at home and also her fried chicken and spaghetti.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Loretta Bell; grandparents, Harold and Rebecca Murray; brother, Ron Quiller and sister, Leona Lavette Keatts.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughter, Shamicka Harris; sons, Je’Shon Copeland and Je’Vondrea Keatts McClair; grandchildren, Selene and Isaiah Stokes; brothers, Bryandt Shelly, Brandon, Abdu and Aubrey Keatts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains, Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton and Geisinger Danville Medical Center for their wonderful care and patience that was showed to Lanee.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 17, at 5:00 PM at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Shawn Walker officiating. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 PM till the time of the service.
