Kay (O’Dea) Gaido, 87, of Bridgewater NJ, passed away on July 21, 2023 at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 18, 1936, she was a daughter of the late William and Ann (Conahan) O’Dea.
Kay was a member of Our Lady of the Lake/St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Pocono Pines, as well as St. Matthias Church, Somerset NJ. On April 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, John J. Gaido Jr. and they enjoyed 36 years together. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William (Butch) O’Dea, Gerald (Jerry) O’Dea, Lawrence (Larry) O’Dea and Robert (Bobby) O’Dea; and a grandson, Michael Gaido
She is survived by sons, Jack Gaido (Ann), Kevin Gaido (Marcia), Jim Gaido (Dorothy); daughter Mary Kay Werner (Bob); grandchildren, Mary, Laura, Mark, Peter, Katie, Michael, Ryan, Melissa, Michelle, Megan, Jackie, Patrick and Bridget; as well as eight great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5112 Pocono Crest Rd, Pocono Pines, PA 18350. Family and friends may visit from 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1594 S. Main St, Hanover Twp. 18706. Arrangements were entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services.
