Joseph Michael Spak, 83, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.
Born on November 18, 1938 in Plains, he was a son of the late Daniel and Esther (Neary) Spak.
Joseph was a loving father and grandfather, as well as a friend to many. He was an extremely optimistic person with a huge sense of humor.
He was employed in the residential construction business serving the Wyoming Valley and surrounding areas. His career spanned over 48 years beginning with his brother, Gabriel and later with his son, Michael. Joseph had a love for music, with a collection of pop songs from the 50’s, to the present day. He lived 70 years of his life in Bear Creek Township. His passion was tending to his yard, garden and enjoying anything that involved being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (McGinley) Spak; brothers, Gabriel, Daniel, Myron, and John Spak; sisters, Mary Korzeniewski and Adrienne Iskra.
Left to cherish his memory is, daughter, Michele (Spak) Ragugini; son, Michael Spak and his wife Donna; grandchildren, Kourtney and Korey Spak, Kayla and Carly Ragugini; 3 great grandchildren, Kendra, Jay, and Lani; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish, 668 N. Main Street Wilkes Barre. Please go directly to the church.
