Jennifer Crangle

Jennifer Frances Crangle, affectionally known as “Jenny”, was born November 27, 1984 to parents Willy Francine Brockenbrough and Rev. Frank Crangle of Philadelphia PA.

She was educated in the Philadelphia school system’s private sector, attending Blair Christian Academy, and later graduating from Delaware Valley Charter High School on June 12, 2002.

Jennifer attended Penn State University, Hazelton Campus. She also took classes at Penn Abington where her focus of study was Business Administration and International Sports Management. However, during her second year of study at Penn State, she realized that her true dream was to become a great chef.  She made the decision to leave Penn State to pursue a career in the Culinary Arts.

Jennifer eventually obtained a position at Briar Leaf Nursing Home where she worked as a Dietician and Assistant Nutritionist. Upon recognition of her talent and desire to excel at food services, Briar Leaf helped her to further her training by offering her the opportunity to take part in their Advance Training Program to help her obtain her Food Services Manager Certificate, which she completed successfully.

All those who knew her and loved her, also knew of her personal struggles and how difficult they were for her to overcome.  The thing that Jennifer held on to was her faith in God and assurance of her salvation. Her desire was to one day be free of her struggles, to have a family of her own and to be the best Mom she could be for her children.  

Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Willy Francine Brockenbrough; her father Rev. Frank Crangle; her 3 children, Noah, Miracle and Heaven; 2 brothers, Pastor Michael Brewster and wife, Stephanie; and Timothy Crangle; 3 uncles, Willie Luckett, Jr. (of Mississippi), Charles Luckett (of Missouri) and Pastor Samuel Johnson; 3 aunts, Pastor Mary Johnson, Joann Saunders (of Mississippi) and Edwina Luckett.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her niece, Ze’Briannah and 2 nephews, Kendall and Keagan Brewster and a host of cousins who loved her dearly.  Although she loved all of her cousins, she shared a special bond with her “little cousin brother” Christopher Reed. 

Sorrowfully submitted by the family of Jennifer. Home Going Services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 21, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 105 Hill Street, Wilkes-Barre with Pastor Kimberly Williams-Gegner, New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, of Philadelphia, officiating.   A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM till the time of the service at the church.
