Jacinta Bowden Obituary

Jacinta "Ninna" Alliene (Bryant) Bowden, 52, of Ashley, Pennsylvania, was born on February 1, 1971 in Elizabeth NJ and was the youngest daughter of the late Lloyd Bryant and Annie Ruth (Thomas) Bryant. She departed this life on Sunday May 7, 2023, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.

Jacinta was educated in the Elizabeth and Roselle school systems and graduated with the class of 1989 from Abraham and Clark High School in Roselle NJ. She later attended and earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University. Pennsylvania. 

Jacinta was gainfully employed for years at Saia LTL Freight as an Operation Clerk. She was always punctual, maintained good attendance and loved working at her job. She exceeded her job expectations. Respectfully, she was a strong communicator, and was able to express ideas clearly while always displaying a productive attitude. Fellow employers expressed Jacinta was polite and caring. Her coworkers were like family to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Jakya Patrick; brothers, Lloyd Gregory (Pie) and Todd Michael (Wazzan).

She leaves to cherish fond memories her devoted husband, Kevin Bowden PA; loving son, Ibn Jamil Dean (Sha’Asia), NJ; precious daughters Damecca Patrick, Hanover Twp. PA and Dajah Patrick, Nanticoke; PA, Grandchildren (Nannie babies) Jazyah, Jace, Jasani, Zuri, Ah’Shyde, JaNyla and Rashawn. Brothers, William Bryant (Dawn), Glenn “Potsy” Thomas, Keith “Raheem” (Tammy) Bryant, Kevin “Hadi” (Leslie) Bryant, Herbert “Fuquan” (Lisette) Bryant and Dwayne “Malik” Bryant; sisters Vanessa “Van” Bryant and Lorinda “Lori” Bryant; Her Mother in  Love, Barbara J. White, Sister in Love Tamica Nelson (Gregory), Brothers in Love Gregory " Jungle" Johnson and Julius White all of P.A.

Special and dear, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, C2C TOO Many to name. Special acknowledgement to her; Lifelong, best friend Michelle Robertson, Needy, Mattie, Tamica, Von, Wahidda and Tiffany.

Jacinta was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She was a giver and always took out time for her family and friends, she exemplified loyalty by always putting them first. She was also admired for her wisdom and many often sought advice from her. She loved vacationing with her family, swimming, the beach, cooking, and shopping. Jacinta also enjoyed countless outings with her grandchildren especially the water park and anytime she got to spend with them gave her true pleasure. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was always the life of the party and her dance moves were unparalleled. She was a true trailblazer. Jacinta will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generosity and being honest and straight forward with people.
