Hazel Granda Obituary

Hazel Romaine (Sutliff) Granda, 90, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital, Wilkes Barre.

Born in Noxen on February 4, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Beatrice (Miller) Sutliff.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Granda in 1997, her brother, Leland Sutliff, her youngest sister, Marion Ottensman, and son-in-law, Harold Harrison.

Hazel was a beloved mother and grandmother, always supportive of her family, encouraged independence while retaining a core of family first, no matter the distance. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Albert J. Granda Jr. (Carol), Hammonton NJ, Michael J. Granda (Charmaine) Wilkes Barre; daughter, Mary E.Harrison, Wilkes Barre PA/Tehachapi CA, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Blizzard, Noxen, Florence Coolbaugh, Harding, Jewel Malloy, Wilkes Barre; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Wilkes Barre.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
