George Leibert Obituary

George Leibert passed away at Chestnut Hill Hospital, on November 1st, 2022.

Born January 28th,1959 in Easton, PA to Persis and John Leibert. He grew up to become an intelligent young man and graduated from Scranton Tech in 1977. He met his wife while working at Weisenfluh Ambulance Service. In 1991 he married Michelle Ann Walsh and had four children. He was also a father figure to many others along the way. During his lifetime he was a private investigator, also an electrician for over 35 years. He was a loving husband and amazing father, uncle, brother-in-law and grandfather. George was extremely protective of his family, which he loved to spend time with. Whether it was watching movies, playing video games, doing construction work, or just talking he always found a way to make you laugh. He was a delight to talk to and he made any situation fun even if it was something most people would consider boring. George was there for anyone at any time, he would do anything in his power to make sure others were taken care of. He was the most kindhearted person you could have ever met. He is preceded in death by his father John Leibert, his step-father, Francis Pickerell, and his sister Persis Annette Wickline.  He is survived by his mother, Persis Pickerell Ashley, PA; His wife, Michelle Ann Walsh-Leibert Scranton, PA;  son John Walsh Scranton, PA; son Lee Leibert and husband James Scranton, PA; son Chance Leibert, wife Audrey and grandson Logan Dickson City, PA; daughter Neasa Leibert Scranton, PA.
