Frederick H. Jacobs, III

Frederick H. “Fred” Jacobs, III, 72, of Trucksville, formerly of Matamoras, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at River View Nursing and Rehab, Plains Twp.

Fred was born on February 26, 1950. He was self-employed as a landscaper and enjoyed all aspects of his work. He was also a Volunteer Fireman for Westfall Twp. Fire Department in Pikes County for many years.

He was especially skilled at woodworking, making everything from picture frames to desks. Fred also loved travelling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Ann (Pridmore) Macri-Jacobs; sons, Frederick H. Jacobs, IV, William H. Johnson and Richard J. Macri, Jr. and wife, Cori; daughters, Valerie Ryan and Marjorie Nicholls and husband, Jesse and grandchildren, Logan, Madisyn, and Skylar.

A Blessing Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday the 28th, at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 2:00 – 3:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray medical costs.
