Frances G. (Clayton) Muchler, 84, of Hanover Twp., passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Guardian Healthcare, Nanticoke.
Born in Wilkes Barre on November 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Arline (Vandermark) Clayton Didwalis.
Frances was a 1956 Graduate of G.A.R. High School. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wilkes Barre, where she had served on church council, and Christian education committee. She was also head of the nursery department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; Bernard J. Poepperling Sr., Charles T. Eckhart Sr., and Robert C. Muchler.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Connie Lee Kopp, Middletown, Charline J. Eckhart, and Rebekah S. Muchler, of Hanover Twp., sons, Jerry Poepperling, Mountain Top, Dwayne Poepperling, Shavertown, Bernard J. Poepperling Jr., Scranton, stepsons, Stanley and Charles Eckhart Jr., Hanover Twp., Jamie Muchler Brennan, Sweet Valley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, on Friday, June 10. 2022, at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 S. Main St. Wilkes Barre. Friends may call from 5:00 until the time of services.
