Edward J. Kish, 73, of Hughestown, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his home.
Born in Scranton on May 1, 1949, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Harriet T. (Dombroski) Kish.
Drafted into the United States Army, Edward served his country from 1969 – 1971.
He was employed at the Trane Company for 26 years in the shipping department. He also worked as an OR Technician at Geisinger for 5 years and spent 16 years at Allied services, Scranton. Towards the end of his career, Edward was employed by Delta Ground Services at the WB/SCR International Airport.
He was a member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca. Edward enjoyed collecting medieval memorabilia and was also on the SCA Medieval Reenactment committee, where he travelled all over. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Anne M. (Draus) Kish; son, Kory Kish; brother, Kenneth Kish and wife, Susan, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3:00PM at St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, 316 Main St., Avoca. Family and friends may visit from 1:00PM – 3:00PM.
It was Edward’s wish that those attending would wear bright colors to celebrate his life.
