Edward R. Jakuboski, 65, of Avoca, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains.
Born in Pittston, on August 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Sylvia (Rich) Jakuboski.
Edward graduated from Pittston Area School District and Johnson College. He worked for over 43 years for Llewellyn & McKane, Inc., Wilkes-Barre, as a pressman. Edward was also a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Pittston, where he was a former deacon and choir member.
In addition to being hardworking, Edward loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was the best Father and Poppa in the world. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, woodworking, and the simple things in life. Edward was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan.
Surviving is his loving wife, of 45 years, Nancy C. (Levy) Jakuboski; four loving children, Edward Jakuboski and his wife, Jennifer Cislo, Amanda and her husband, Michael Amitia, Andrew Jakuboski, and Abigail Jakuboski; two grandchildren Mikey and Ella Amitia; a sister, Joy Cooney and her husband, Mark; several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid19, the family will celebrate a private Memorial Service at Second Presbyterian Church, Pittston, with burial to follow at the Langcliffe Cemetery, Avoca. The Reverend Roger Griffith will officiate. Social distancing and masks are required.
The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of kindness and sympathy.
