Edith A. Baker, 94, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 6, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy (Lloyd) Pugh.
Edith was a member of Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church, formerly the First Welsh Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, where she was active in the church and making Welch Cookies. She was also a member of Irem temple Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle B. Baker; brothers Merle Pugh and Robert Pugh and sister, Catherine Fitzgerald.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth Baker, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Joyce Mikina and her husband, James, Timonium, MD; grandchildren, Laura Glenny and Mark Mikina; great-grandchildren, Diego, Joaquin, Avalou and Lyman.
Private interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
