David Devine Obituary

David A. Devine of Wilkes-Barre, PA was born on May 9, 1966 in Manhasset, Long Island, New York and passed away on April 3, 2024 in Wilkes-Barre at 57 years of age.

Dave is survived by his son, David (Tiffany) Devine and David's mother, Dave's former wife, Susan Wood, who remained a lifelong friend.  Also surviving are his loving sisters and brothers, Valerie (Anthony) Peppe, Evelyn (Wayne) Coleman, Lauren Devine, Christine (Michael) DelGuidice, Scott Devine, Tristan (Angie) Devine, and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Devine.  He was a much loved uncle and close friend to his many cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn; brothers, Joseph and Robert; special friend, Linda; and his furry buddy, Shelby.

Dave attended Malverne High School and Cayuga College.  In his early years, Dave was employed as a telephone lineman, contractor and worked in the timber industry before becoming disabled.

Dave had a crazy sense of humor, loved music and sports, especially the Mets, the Jets and Moravia Basketball.  He was always willing to give a helping hand.

The oceans of Long Island and Florida, and the waters of the New York Finger Lakes were some of his favorite places to be.

Special thanks to our sister Lauren for sharing her home with Dave and caring for him over these past several years.  Dave will be greatly missed.
