Charles R. Sokolas Sr., 66, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre. Born on March, 27,  1956, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Yelland) Sokolas. Charles worked for American Silk Mill for many years. He was a veteran of The Unites States Navy. He loved spending time with his family, and hanging out with his brother, James. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Robbins) Sokolas; brothers, Herbert, John, and James Sokolas. Left to cherish his memory is son, Charles R. Sokolas Jr., Rick Shotwell; daughter, Helena Sokolas (Terri Beamer); granddaughter, Paige; brothers, Thomas and Russell Sokolas; as well as several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, god parents, Jesse and Elene Honeywell. A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main Street Wilkes Barre, Pa 18701.
