Bienvenido A. Polanco Berroa

Bienvenido A. Polanco Berroa, 57, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on July 8, 1962, he was a son of the late Bienvenido A. Polanco Rosario and Maria Margarita Berroa Lacay.

Bienvenido was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Jerusalem, Wilkes-Barre and worked as an engineer in the construction business. He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by her brother, Caonabo Fernandez Berroa.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Elena Hiciano de Polanco; sons, Ricardo Bienvenido Polanco Hiciano, Joel Arturo Polanco Hiciano and Ariel Arturo Polanco Alcan Tara; daughters, Mariely Anel Polanco Hiciano, Margarita Anel Polanco Ducos and Marina Natacha Polanco Ducos; grandchildren, Samuel, Helen, Herlyn, Abraham, Rainnier, Ashanty, Kimberly, Ashly, Camila, Jomar, Zoe and Arielis; brothers, Alfredo Miguel Berroa, Gregorio Fernandez Berroa, Enrriquillo Antonio Fernandez Berroa; sisters, Ana Caona Fernandez Berroa, Margarita Fernandez Berroa and Jacquelin Berroa and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit from 8:30 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 11 at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. A graveside service will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dora Quintero officiating.
