Bernard Trescavage Obituary

Bernard J. Trescavage, 77 years old, died at his home on September 4th in Falls Church, Va. He is survived by his wife Myriam. They were married 39 years.

 

Born in Moosic on February 18, 1943, he was the son of Victor & Victoria Trescavage.  He was a graduate of Moosic High School and was the school Valedictorian.  He graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in Accounting.  He was a CPA and worked for the Government Accounting Office for 35 years before his retirement.  In his job he traveled extensively in Europe & the United States.  He also was a member of the Virginia National Guard for six years.

 

Bernie especially enjoyed his trips back to Moosic to visit with family and will be dearly missed.  He had a multitude of friends and was a very religious person.  He is survived by his sister, Ann Marie Klebon of Moosic, brothers Joseph and wife Diane of Scranton, John and wife Cathy of Shavertown, Edward and wife Roey of Moosic, PA.  Nieces Stephanie Maciolek (Godchild), Sandy Colella, and Tami Roedig.  Nephews Paul Klebon, Joseph, Robbie, Jamie, and Mike Trescavage.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Victoria Trescavage, sister Martha Colella and her husband Sam, and brother in law Richard Klebon.

 

The family will celebrate a private Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Apostle Parish, Avoca, with Father Phillip Sladicka officiating.  Internment will be at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery Moosic.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Queen of the Apostles Church, 715 Hawthorne Street, Avoca.
