William Hopkins

William “Billy” C. Hopkins, our loving father, brother, uncle & great uncle, 66, of Trucksville has passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at Allied Services Hospice Center.

Born on November 6th, 1958 in Kingston, PA he was a son of the late William T. Hopkins and Lois J. (Sullivan) Hopkins. He graduated from West Side Tech High School. He retired from ALTEC Corp. In his free time Billy loved to go fishing, camping & spending time with his loved ones. He loved being outside busy in his backyard. He will be missed by many neighbors, friends and family. If you ever had the chance to cross paths with Billy, he was the most loving, kindest & giving soul you’d ever come across.

He was a member of Trucksville United Methodist Church and Luzerne United Methodist Church.

William is survived by his brothers, Ted M. Hopkins, Trucksville, Chief Petty Officer John L. (Corky) Hopkins, Chesapeake, VA and David V. Hopkins (Wendy), Watkins Glen, NY; sister, Betsy A. (Lee) Hockenberry, Trucksville; son, Kory Hopkins, Hanover Twp.; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private for immediate family and there will be no calling hours. Arrangements were entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services.
