Wilfert Vieney Jr.

Wilfert Vieney Jr., 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, at Chestnut Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Wilfert Vieney Sr., and Dolores Thornton.

Wilfert was a member of the former Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, and he enjoyed spending quality time with those he loved the most, his family.

Surviving to cherish his memory are brothers, Anthony Vieney and wife, Faith, Victor Holloway and wife, Barbara, and Terry Vieney; sisters, Jennifer Stewart, Gwendolyn Vieney, Rosalie Smith and husband, Lionel, and Sonya Hicks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be private for the family.
