Thomas Hardik, Jr.

Thomas “Tom” Hardik, Jr., 58, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Twp.

Born in Philadelphia on May 3, 1968, he was a son of Doris E. Gillespie (Melle) and the late Thomas C. Hardik, Sr.

Prior to retiring, Tom worked as a foreman at PA Department of Corrections, SCI Dallas. He was a member of Pride LEMC and the Free Masonry. Tom enjoyed playing video games, going on day trips to Knoebels, spending time with his family, and one of his favorite pastimes was smoking different foods for his family to try.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jo Anne (Strawn) Hardik; children, Jessica Schneider & husband, Justin, Steven Hardik & wife, Trish, and Corey Hardik; grandchildren, Noah, Abigail, Lucas, Fred, Caroline, Riley, Lyriq and Lavonte and sisters, Bonnie & Lora.

The family welcomes relatives and friends to visit and remember Tom on Friday June 5th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. The Wyoming Masonic Lodge #468 will conduct Masonic services.
