Theresa (Gilroy) Harris

Theresa Gilroy Harris, 81, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Saturday April 2, 2016 peacefully in her home. Mrs. Harris was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the daughter of the late Edmund Gilroy and Theresa Burke Gilroy. She is preceded in death by her husband, 1SGT Harry Kendall Harris Jr. in 1971, son Harry K. Harris III, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Harris, and grandson Marion Meredith. She is survived by her siblings Patricia Allabaugh and Edmund Gilroy; children Geraldine Harris Sell and husband Paul David Sell and Douglas Shane Harris Sr. and wife Tammy Osbourne Harris; Grandchildren Margaret (Dede) Rhein and husband Matthias Rhein, Juan David Suarez III, Kendall Shane Suarez, Tresa Suarez Baxter, Christopher Shane Brock, Casey Marie Musselwhite, Eugene Millard, Victoria Lynn Harris, Jessica Osbourne Bunkley, Mary Ann Harris, Douglas Shane Harris Jr., Michael Sixten Sell, and Stephanie Carole Sell. Mrs. Harris was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. Theresa attended Northwood Temple Church and also Fayetteville Community Church. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m. by Kniffen Funeral Home at Hanover Green Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Family will receive friends and visitors at the home located at 4197 Sussex Drive Fayettevile, NC.
