Sonnah K (Appel) Polto

Sonnah K. Polto, 80, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday evening in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on July 8, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Viola (Crawford) Appel. She was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Polto, brother, Frederick Appel and sister, Martha Appel.

Surviving is her daughter, Karen Polto, Wilkes-Barre.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Arrangments have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
