Sandra M. (Claiborne) Lee, 81, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at home.

Born in Wilkes Barre on August 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Marion (Dooley) Claiborne.

Sandra was a 1957 G. A. R. graduate. After graduation, she joined the United States Air Force. She went on to work for RCA, Mountain Top, until her retirement in 2002.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church, Wilkes Barre, where she was a former member of Junior choir, member and director of senior choir, and served in the united voices choir. She participated and became a foster grandparent at Heights Elementary.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Burton, Gladys Miller, Myrtle Miller, Valorra Claiborne; brothers, Harold Miller, Donald Miller, Wilbur Miller, and Benjamin Claiborne.

Left to cherish her memory are her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 6:00 PM, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 105 Hill Street, Wilkes Barre with a Homegoing Service to follow at 7:00 PM with Reverend Michael Brewster, officiating.
