Robert L. Mattey, 64, a life resident of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday at Manor Care, Kingston, following a lengthy illness.  Robert was born on August 24, 1954.  He was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Vukovich) Mattey.

Robert was employed by Penn Refrigeration for 39 years. He was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders, Alabama Crimson Tide and also enjoyed listening to classic rock music and washing his car.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years of marriage, Barbara (Consola) Mattey.  Surviving are his sons; Kenneth and Christopher Mattey.  Brother; Jeffrey Mattey.

Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8pm at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. 465 South Main Street Wilkes-Barre.  Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
