Robert W. Lloyd Sr.

Robert W. Lloyd Sr., 86, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 25, 1938, he was the son of the late William Lloyd and Ruth (Hughey) Shultz.

Robert proudly served in the US Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, Robert started his own trucking business and was an over the road trucker. He was also a proud, lifelong member of the Amvets. In his free time, Robert loved to golf, play shuffleboard, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Wilsey; granddaughter, Brittany Horoshak; step-father, Silvester Shultz; and brothers, Denny and Billy Lloyd.

Surviving to cherish Robert’s memory is his loving wife of 42 years,  Kimberly (Dukas) Lloyd; daughters, Carla Moberg and husband Steve, Tammy Koivunen and husband Joe, Terry Hiti and husband Jim, and Nadine Hendrickson and husband Jr.; son, Robert Lloyd Jr., and wife Amanda; brother, David Lloyd; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; best friend, Joe Rynkiewicz; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience at a later date.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
