Obituary
Robert D. Koepke, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 27, 1938, he was a son of the late Daniel and Leona (Zeske) Koepke. He was a veteran of both the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by the VA Medical Center in the Dietary Department and as a security guard at Sears Warehouse. He was an avid motorcycle rider and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Candice Koepke.
Surviving are his son, Robert Koepke, Dallas; daughters, Anna Koepke, Ashley, Sheila Heck, Plains and Heidi Jimenez, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Brent Koepke, Mountain Top, 6 grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 8:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with Pastor Peter Kuritz officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
