Robert DeGraffenreid, 56, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, of Reading, passed away January 17, 2015, at the Reading Hospital, Reading, PA.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, on July 10, 1958, he was a son of the late Robert Wade and Margaret Fuller-DeGraffenreid.

He was a former member of Bethel AME Church, Wilkes-Barre and graduated from Grand Army of the Republic High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret DeGraffenreid  and Evelyn Hayes, brothers, LeRoy and Tyrone DeGraffenreid.

Surviving are 6 sisters, Queenie Shalom, Barbara Matthews, Creola Swanigan,  Bonita Faulks-DeGraffenreid, Juanita DeGraffenreid, and Clara Ballard, 3 brothers, Thomas, Douglas and Charles, numerous nieces and nephews.

Family viewing will be on Thursday from 10:00AM till 10:45AM at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with committal prayers at 11:00AM in Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, Hanover Township.
