Robert D. Cleary

Robert D. Cleary Sr., 66, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday morning, May 13, at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, on August 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Vincent and Angeline (White) Cleary.

Robert was a devoted family man. He worked as a steel worker early on in his life. Robert also enjoyed painting houses and spent many years painting with Ronnie Brown Painting. He took great pride in his work.

Robert was preceded in death by; his two brothers, Johnny and Mickey Cleary.

Surviving are; his loving wife of 48 years, Evelyn (Finnerty) Cleary; son, Robert Cleary Jr.; sons and daughter-in-laws, Vincent and Rana Cleary, James and Kathy Cleary; grandchildren, Robert Cleary III, Cody Cleary, Austin Cleary, Rebekah Cleary, Kaitlyn Cleary, Haylee Cleary, step grandchild, Saraya; great grandchildren, Lovelynn Evans, Londynn Evans; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Mary Beth Cleary.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Services provided by Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
