Raul Ramirez Vega

Raul Ramirez Vega, 74, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.

Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on February 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Jose Antonio Ramirez and Maria Eugenia Vega.

Raul worked for many years as a superintendent in the housing industry and he also worked at two bakeries in Puerto Rico,  La Familia and La Estrela.

One of his greatest passions in life was playing the guitar and teaching others how to do so. He loved spending time with his family and helping his neighbors and friends. He was a generous soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary-Jo Ramirez; second wife, Doris Olivera and sister, Ruth.

Left to cherish his memory are son, Raul Ramirez, Jr.; daughters, Crystal and Jessica Ramirez and Brenda Sandoval and husband, Frankie; grandchildren, Anel, Marie, Anthony, Elly and Aiden; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Tony, Louie and Sam; sisters, Evelyn, Yolanda, Noemi and Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are private for his family.
