Obituary
Providence M. “Dolly” (Lombardo) Johnson, 83, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday evening at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston on August 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Ross) Lombardo.
Dolly worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in New Jersey. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Dolly liked to Polka.
In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Johnson; who passed April 6, 1971, daughter, Caroline A. Johnson; son, John E. Johnson; and brothers, Benjamin, Frank and Joseph Lombardo.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughters, Rosemarie Johnson, Shickshinny, and Jeanette Johnson, Wilkes-Barre, a son, Maurice Johnson, Nanticoke, 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M. from Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 P.M.- 8 P.M. & Friday from 9:00 A.M. till service.
