Priscilla E. (Morris) Rux

Priscilla E. (Morris) Rux, 87, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late B. Lewis and Margaret (Wright) Morris.

She was married to the late Arthur T. Rux  for 46 years with their beloved daughter Renee.

She graduated from G.A.R.  Memorial High School and was later employed at the West Moreland Club, she was a mail handler at USPS , and also worked at the former Bell telephone ,and was a driver at Eastern Auto Leasing, Larksville.

Priscilla was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church, Wilkes-Barre and was instrumental in organizing and managing the food pantry for over ten years. She was the chief cook and bottle washer.

She was a former member of Mizpah Charlotte Scott # 104  O.E.S.P.H.A., she served as worthy matron ,DDGM also mother advisor to the Ruth Mitchell Tucker girls youth group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, brother Aaron Morris and nephew Lewis (Boo) Morris.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Renee Suchoski and husband, John; loving grandchildren, Alicia Suchoski ( Julio Navarro) and John Suchoski ( Shannon Olson ) brother, Lewis Morris and wife, Priscilla; loving niece Shannon King and husband Barry, niece Cara Henderson , sister Margaret Jones and husband, William ; nephews  Lewis Jones and wife Myra ,Robert Jones William Jones and niece Margaret Jones and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Best friend Joyce V. Carter.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on ­­­­­­­­Saturday, August 15 at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre. Reverend James Breese will be officiating.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
