PLAINS TWP.- Philip F. Jenkins, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 15, 1935, he was a son of David and Rose Ann (Dress) Jenkins, Sr. Philip was an avid NY Yankees fan; if the Yankees were playing he was watching. He was also an enthusiastic walker, he walked everywhere he went. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, David Jr, Donald and Joseph Jenkins, and a niece, Sandra Erving. Philip is survived by two sisters, Theodora Erving, with whom he resided and Gloria Ribaudo, Pittston, a great great niece with whom he resided, Samantha Hardy, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:00PM at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Rev. Joseph Gandia, Beaumont Free Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call from 11:00 AM till the time of the service.
