Osma Abraham Lispi passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 16,2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Plains Township.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Madeline (Bobinshoti) Abraham.  She was born and raised in Wilkes Barre attending Wilkes-Barre schools  graduating from GAR high School.

She was the first female from Luzerne County and surrounding areas to be appointed by the Governor to the Military Draft Board, a position she held for over 30 years, She became Assistant District Union Manager and the first female to be elected president of Council 13 AFSCME. She worked for the State Workmen's Insurance Fund, with the Dept. of Labor & Industry.

Growing up in the auto business her father, Robert Abraham of Abraham Motors, S Main St. Wilkes-Barre mentored Osma. She then met and married the love of her life, Gene Lispi.

She graduated from the University of Delaware General Motors College, where she was the only female to graduate with honors. She then started one of the first leasing companies in the Wyoming Valley, O.A.Lispi Leasing Inc. at Gene Lispi Chevrolet, working alongside her husband.

In June of 1990 she formed Abraham Chevrolet Inc. becoming the first female new car dealer in the Wyoming Valley and surrounding areas. She formed and operated her land company, Rob-Abe Inc. to present day. She was also associated with several family businesses, those being Lispi Brothers, Maple Developments and GG& L Enterprises.

Semi retiring in 2002, she became very active in volunteer work especially at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Eugene "Gene" Lispi, her sister Andrea "Candy" Abraham, uncles, aunts  cousins, nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her nephew and right hand man, Ronald Giza Jr., her poodle companion, Lulu Jibez, which she loved dearly, godson Bobby Kulick Jr nephews Joseph "Butch" Lispi, Albert Lispi,  nieces, Jacqueline Lispi, Christina "Krisse" Kleckner, Melissa Lispi Azaravich, Gela Lispi Griffin, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday March 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at St Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church, 905 S. Main Street, Wilkes Barre. Private interment will be at the parish cemetery. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, Blue Chip Animal Rescue, Hillside Farms or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Service 465 S Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
