Here’s a little story about Muriel O. Grant, born on November 3, 1951. She entered life at the Scranton State Hospital to the late Samuel and Margaret Crawford. She attended James M. Coughlin High School, before moving to Dayton, OH. In the 90’s, she returned to Wilkes-Barre where she met her late husband, Theodore Grant. Known as “Auntie,” she enjoyed her life! She worked as a CNA before transitioning into the food service industry. She returned to Coughlin before moving into Wilkes University. She was Post Worthy Matron of Charlotte Mizpan Scott Chapter #104. Auntie was a practicing Baptist and enjoyed her bible. In her spare time, she enjoyed the holidays and redecorating for them. She also loved being around her family and traveling with them.
On July 30, 2024, Auntie entered the afterlife at Geisinger Hospital. She is being welcomed to eternal life by her maternal grandparents, Peter and Cleo Parker; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Lucille Crawford; sister, Dolly Crawford; niece, Samantha Crawford, and nephew, Robert “Mowie” Harris. Continuing her legacy are sister, Gayiel (Robert) Harris; brothers, Darryl Crawford, Cornel Crawford, and Lionel (Teri) Crawford. Plus her beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. And her many friends and memories throughout the years.
