Michael R. Turel

Michael R. Turel, 65, of Sweet Valley, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Avoca on November 10, 1957, he was a son of the late Edward and Genevieve (Bryk) Turel.

Michael was very proud of his community service work and assisting with the Meals on Wheels Program. He was involved with Step by Step, Day Development and attended St. Joseph’s Center, Scranton. Michael also loved his stuffed animal collection.

Left to cherish his memory are brothers, Edward Turel, Jr. and wife, Patricia, Richard Turel and wife, Anita and Stephen Turel and wife, Nancy; sister, Lisa Murrin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank Bob and Marietta Bachman for taking wonderful care of Michael and also the Step by Step Program.

Funeral arrangements will be private for the family through Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Avoca.
