Maynard Keatts, 78, of Shickshinny, passed away on July 12, 2025 at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Harold and Rebecca (Medley) Murray.
After graduating from GAR high school, he went and enlisted in the Army where he proudly served his country. Prior to retiring, Maynard was employed by PP&L as a laborer for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion.
Maynard loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a huge Franco Harris fan. He was also an avid Penn State fan. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Poconos, drive-in movies, motorcycles, camping and fishing and would go anywhere in his mobile home with family. He was know for his car, which was always a Lincoln. He grew to be a God-fearing man and would read his Bible every day. He was full of love and would send money to children in need. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with family, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lillian Medley; and his children, Leona Keatts, Lanee Keatts and Ron Quiller.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Brandon Halimon Keatts, Abdu Keatts and Aubrey Keatts; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
