Obituary
Maurice D. Gittins, Jr., 71, of Wapwallopen, passed away Friday, January 27, 2016, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 27, 1945, he was a son of the late Maurice D. Gittins, Sr. and Doris B. Smith.
Maurice worked as a mechanic for Lehigh Valley and Conrail Rail Road.
He is survived by sisters, Dorothy M. Thomas and husband, Richard, Mildred “Millie” Kehler, Doris Yurovchak and Debra White and husband, Joe; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private, with Pastor Donald Hartshorne officiating. Interment followed in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Arrangements were in the care of Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
