Maryann Marton-Hyatt

Maryann Marton-Hyatt, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in New York City on January 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Gdovin) Marton. Maryann will be remembered for her deep love of animals, especially her cherished cats, and her strong beliefs and determination.

Maryann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mortimer “Mort” Hyatt; her son, William “WJ” Hyatt, and his wife, Phuong, of San Jose, CA; and her daughter, Adrienne Talis, and her husband, James “Jim,” of North Carolina.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
