Mary A. (Molly) Brodhead, 90, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Born on December 30, 1933 in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Cecelia (Golon) Driscoll. Molly was a 1951 graduate of Hanover Memorial High School and was active in the planning and organization of her class reunions and social gatherings. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. She retired in 2011 from Maternal and Family Health Services Inc., after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Brodhead, brother Gerald M. Driscoll, and her sister Patricia A. Truszkowski.
Surviving are her daughters, Cecile A. Scalonge and husband John F. Scalonge, Cincinnati, OH., Cheryl A. Pileski and husband Jason D. Pileski, Harrisburg, PA., grandsons John F. Scalonge IV and Michael M. Scalonge, both of Cincinnati, OH., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, December 10th, at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, December 9th, from 5-7pm at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
