Mary (Michalek) Beeunas

Mary (Michalek) Beeunas, 97, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing.

Born in Nanticoke on January 30, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mildred (Connell) Michalek.

Mary enjoyed shopping and sewing, often tailoring her own clothes to be more fashionable.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Beeunas; son, Joseph Beeunas; brother, Stephen Michalek and sister, Mildred Stashik.

Mary is survived by her son, Robert Beeunas and wife, Shelby; granddaughter, Jennifer Nestorick and husband, Daniel; great granddaughter, Abby Nestorick; daughter-in-law, Sharon Beeunas; granddaughter, Samantha Beeunas-Berryhill and great granddaughters, Emma and Ellie Joe Berryhill and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Allied Services for the wonderful care Mary received and close friend and caretaker, Terri Fisher.

Services will be private for the family from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services.
