Martin L. Thomas, 66, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, November 5th in Allied Hospice Center (aka Little Flower Manoar).

Marty was the son of the late Robert J. & Leona Lavelle Thomas.  He was a graduate of Coughlin High School, LCCC & Kings College.  He worked for the City of Wilkes-Barre his entire life (as Manager of the Hollenback Golf Course until his retirement…& the DPW in earlier years).  He was active in various golf leagues throughout the valley, donated to many local charities & would host annual golf tournaments to benefit Valley Santa.

In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his stepson, David Thomas; step-granddaughter, Cassidy; & his beloved dog, Sassy.  He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Thomas; son, Dylan Thomas & former wife, Lisa Thomas.

His family would like to thank the staff at the Allied Hospice Center & the Birchwood Nursing Facility for their care & compassion throughout this difficult time.

At Marty’s request, there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation.
