Marion Borinski Kravulski, 92, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022 at River Run Health Care & Rehab Center, Kingston.

Born in Lee Park, Wilkes-Barre, PA on June 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Mathew and Anna Hassaj Borinski.  A 1948 graduate of Hanover High School, she worked for Woolworth’s for over 37 years, where she was a kind and helpful lady to her customers and coworkers. Marion was an active member of Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church, Plymouth, where she was a member of the Adoration Society.  There she also helped pinch pierogies, work the church bazaars, and enjoy dinners with her many friends.  She was a devoted Catholic Christian who prayed the rosary daily, and lived out her faith by bringing joy and love to all she met with a smile on her face.

Family and many friends affectionately called her Choci (Aunt) Mary and, though she had no children of her own, she would happily take care of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nephews and niece.  She was always ready to build with blocks, read and tell stories, and play all kinds of games.  She baked the best oatmeal cookies and always had treats in her pockets for kids.  Her caring and fun-loving spirit made an important impact on many relatives during their childhood and adolescence.

An unassuming, petite, and gentle woman, even her nurses and caretakers who helped her through various health challenges would always tell visiting family members, “We love Marion!”

She was the last member of her immediate family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Kravulski, who passed away in 1994, and brothers, Michael M. Borinski and Edward Born.  Surviving are her sisters-in-law Bernardine Borinski and Jackqueline Born, her niece Bernardine Vojtko and her husband Larry, her nephew Michael Borinski and his wife Marietta, her niece Christine Born, grand nephews and grand niece: Michael and Jonathan Vojtko, and Michael John and Anna Rose Borinski.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.

A Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church, 269 E. Main Street, Plymouth with The Very Reverend Lucian Urbaniak officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday; attendees are asked to go directly to the church.

The family of Marion would like to thank the caregivers at River Run Health Care & Rehab Center, Kingston for their devoted care and attention they gave to Choci Mary as well as the neighbors on her street who would offer help as needed when she lived in her Plymouth home.
