Marie (Glaser) Rehn,84, of Wilkes-Barre,  passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 29, 1931, she was a daughter of the late George and Martha (Gerber) Glaser.  Marie worked in various garment companies locally, belonging to the ILGWU and was a member of St. Andrew’s Parrish, Wilkes-Barre.

Marie loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed doing word searches.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, William “Bill” A. Rehn; brothers, Louis, Gerald and George Glaser; son-in-law, Rick Paltanavich and grandsons, Craig Paltanavich and Keifer Garnett-Mallarkey.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Donna (Arthur) Allen, Diane (Mike) Croughn and Delta (Michael) Shoback ; grandchildren, Jaclyn Unger, Jason (Amber) Paltanavich Kursten (Sunday) Nah, and Jessica Paltanavich, Collin and Alek Krokos; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Iwata and Dolores Houghton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at RiverStreet Manor and Dr. Chollak for the wonderful care that Marie received.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M. from St. Benedict’s Parish, 155 Austin Ave., Wilkes-Barre, 18705. Everyone attending mass is asked to go directly to church.

Family and friends may visit Thursday from 4 P.M.-7P.M. at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
