Margaret "Sonny" J Jayne

Margaret J. "Sonny" Jayne, 70, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Wilkes Barre.

Born in Wilkes Barre on December 31, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Kocher) Jayne.

Sonny was a friend to everyone. She was kind, funny, sarcastic and had the most infectious laugh. She loved telling stories and jokes.

She enjoyed travelling and talking about her adventures. She was giving and loving, and adored her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and her faithful dog, Tia. Last, but most certainly not least, she was a huge New England Patriots fan.

In addition to her parents, Sonny was preceded in death by an infant brother, Llewellyn Jayne.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Sandee Hermann, Rockford, MI, Donna Barrick, Willow Hill, PA, Donald Jayne (Jean), Pueblo, CO, William Jayne, Portland OR, Cheryl Smith, Bear Creek, PA and Abby Smith (Thane) Lutz, FL; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes Barre, with Pastor Patrick Poole officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until the service begins. Interment will be privately held at a later date at the convenience of the family in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Larksville.
